- This is the first painting based on the timeless month we spent in Italy on our honeymoon. The scene, which is round every corner in Venice, defines both the beauty and the colour to be found everywhere. I wanted the painting to ‘drip’ down the paper, further endorsing the watery nature of Venice. It is a subject I will return to when I have more to ‘say’.
